Editorial policy
HyreSolar publishes guidance for homeowners who are about to buy a residential solar system. Every factual claim is sourced to a named primary document with a retrieval date. This page is the policy that governs that work: what we will publish, what we will not, how we expect to make money, and what happens when something here is wrong.

Sourcing
Factual claims are sourced to primary material: federal agencies, state commissions, national laboratories, and utilities’ own tariff documents. Where a claim is time-sensitive (a tax provision, an incentive programme, an export rate) it carries the date it was last checked. We link the source on the page rather than keeping it in a file somewhere.
What we will not publish
- A national average price presented as though it were your price.
- Installer listings, ratings or reviews we cannot support from primary sources.
- Testimonials, case studies, statistics, certifications or awards we cannot evidence.
- An incentive described as available when we have not verified that it currently is.
- Pages written to rank for a phrase rather than to answer a question.
Gaps stay visible
Where we do not have verified data, the page says so. That is why this site carries no installer directory today: the research process behind it is still being built, and an empty framework described honestly is worth more than a populated one that cannot be defended.
How we expect to make money
HyreSolar expects to earn revenue by connecting homeowners with solar professionals. That relationship will be disclosed wherever it applies, and it will not determine what the guidance says. Nobody can buy a placement, a ranking or a favourable description on this site.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, tell us using the contact details below. We fix errors in place, change the review date, and note the correction where it changes the substance of what we said.

Does HyreSolar install solar?
No. HyreSolar publishes research and guidance, and expects to earn revenue by connecting homeowners with solar professionals. That relationship is disclosed wherever it applies and does not determine what the guidance says.
Can a company pay to be featured here?

Why is there no installer directory?

How are corrections handled?
Errors are fixed in place, the review date is changed, and the correction is noted where it changes the substance of what we said.
